I originally found this website when I was researching my own endzone camera back in 2016 – http://www.cameraendzone.com/ (site seems to be down)
I’ve made some enhancements and will list them
Instead of carrying a heavy base or sandbags I purchased a 2 inch black ASB rigid pipe and glued it to a 2in to 3 inch transition piece. Then I hammered in the pipe into the Bosch TriPod and then cut off the 3 inch flange portion. I then used 3 Loop Belts and tied them around the tube and onto the legs. I spent an hour getting them level so now when I get to the field it JUST works.

Endzone Camera – Parts – Here are ALL the parts you need to build your own Endzone camera system. There is a 2nd tab to build this system and make it Replay Ready.
For the replay system: I USED to go from the Camera (via Micro-HDMI) to the Lilliput monitor and from there go to the Encoder. I had the monitor out plug die on me and I was unable use the Endzone in our Replay System. I NOW go from Camera (via Micro-HDMI) and that cable goes to an HDMI extension to the Encoder. There is another cable that goes from the HDMI output of the encoder to the monitor. I haven’t had issues since. I had inconsistent issues with the old setup (Feed cuts out to Replay) with the old setup but since going the new way I’ve had zero issues.
As-is this endzone camera goes as far as about 22 feet high. The pole is 21 feet and it sits roughly 8-inches off the ground. Include the Bescor and camera and it equals about 22 feet. You could get the 30 foot pole (vendor listed in the Parts list) and build this to 30 feet. However, 22 feet seems to be good enough, for me.
I DO NOT recommend leaving it unattended. Train whomever runs it how to lower and raise the device when they walk away. It tipped over on me ONCE and I had to replace the camera ($200) and Bescor ($130).
The Cable Bundle.
Get the parts from the list (above). I used two carabiners for quick connection to the Endzone Pole. MAKE SURE you give yourself plenty slack as these connectors are fragile. With the HDMI cable I actually loop it around the camera (another video will show this). I then customized the length of the top cables AND THEN I used electrical tape to hold them in place. The Cable sleeve was 25 feet long so I cut off about 5 feet of it as the Bescor cable is 20 feet long. This works great as the remote has a 5-6 foot cable that reaches perfectly.
I DO THIS FOR YOU Broke ass coaches no charge! Nothing against the big guys out there selling these systems but my broke ass school could never afford one without me figuring it out! If you’d like to buy me a beer to say thanks I accept PayPal donations
